Importance of Culture.

The purpose of the interviews was to share the life experiences of Korean culture.

Culture comes with intrinsic benefits, such as enriching lives with opportunities, entertainment, learning, and sharing experiences. It’s essentially imbedded into our lives and it helps develop our self-esteem.

I focus specifically on Korean culture in these interviews because there are times when our community forgets to reflect on our roots. The purpose of the interviews is to give off different perspectives that hopefully allow watchers to become more aware.

This wasn’t an easy experience for me, it pushed me out of my comfort zone. My main goal was to form a stronger community. I want to find the bottom line of all the interviews. My goal is to make my audience start asking questions such as “How does this interview relate to my own experiences” or “How does their experience prepare me for my journey as a Korean American.”

In addition, I would like to add, in the most professional way possible, that I hope that my interviews bring controversy to the table and people can have more open conversations about our community at Bergen County.
