I had a lot of fun interviewing one of the most influential people for me throughout high school. Director Wonjoon Kim has worked at the Bergen County Debate Club for years. He has a strong passion for public speaking and debate. He is in charge of what happens at the academy and coaches as well. He is a first-generation Korean American.

What the interview focused on

Director Wonjoon focuses on his experience as a first generation Korean American. He talks about what it felt like being the only one out of his siblings to grow up outside of Korea. He focuses on his journey to being where he is today. He also gives insight to his interactions with the Korean community right here at the academy.
