BERGEN COUNTY KOREAN COMMUNITY
At BCKC, we're on a mission to illuminate the vibrant tapestry of Korean culture by spotlighting diverse narratives through insightful interviews.
Together, we celebrate each individual's unique contribution, fostering understanding, breaking down stereotypes, and weaving a more inclusive community fabric.
Why Interviews?
My mission is to create an open space for honest conversations about current political issues that matter. Through thoughtful discussions with diverse voices, I aim to raise awareness and inspire others to engage with the political world around them. By breaking down complex topics and sharing different perspectives, my goal is to make politics more accessible and encourage more people, especially young adults, to get involved in shaping our future.
Political Initiatives Through Podcasts
Political Initiatives Through Articles
At the heart of my work with the ACLU, I work to inform, engage, and empower people within my community and beyond. Through articles on current political events, my mission is to raise awareness and foster active involvement in critical issues, inspiring readers to stay informed and make a difference in the world around us.
About Joy Lee
Meet Joy Lee! Joy, driven by her own experience of growing up without a strong Korean community, has founded the organization Bergen County Korean Community (BCKC). The platform is a response to the lack of representation she felt in her youth, aiming to provide a space where Korean teenagers can find a sense of connection and involvement.
BCKC serves as a hub for diverse narratives within the Korean community, showcasing the richness of their culture. BCKC also aims to spread more awareness in the political sphere, especially among the people close to her age. Through necessary discussions and podcasts, she aims to spread the importance of political involvement.
